Gutters guards were installed on Nov. 16, 2017.

They damaged my gutter on the left front of my home. They agreed to replace the gutter and said they would be back the next day. After numerous calls, the installer showed up on a Sunday in January to do the work. They took down my existing gutter but their equipment had a problem so they could not make the replacement.

Again (Larry) said he would come back the next day. I made numerous calls to the installer but no response. I made several calls to Account Manager, Roger Roa

(914443-9482) and spoke to him once, then he never returned my calls. I called the area Manager William (845-851-8556) and explained my problem in a messaage...no response or follow up calls.

I called LeafFilter customer service in

in Ohio who promised someone would call me..No responsse. I continued to call but no one would give the courtesy of a call back. Finally I reach William at the Summerville, S.C. office of LeafFilter(419-287-6680).

He was unaware of my problem and seemed to want to help. He promised to call me back but after waiting 9 days, I called him and left a message. No response. I have no gutter on the left front of my house and a piece is hanging down.

This has been going on for 3 1/2 months and they continue to ignore my calls. The customer service is the poorest I have ever encountered, especially from a seemingly reliable company.

I made the mistake of paying them before the work was completed. This has taken up much of my time and patience.

I agreed to have Leaf Filter redo some trim on my century home. I didn't want their gutter protection as it was way too expensive.

During the sales meeting I expressed that I wanted a gutter replaced because it could not handle the volume of water during heavy rains and was creating an additional problem of flooding in my basement. I even pointed out a spot in my house where the gutter overflows and causes a moisture problem on the inside. The subcontractors showed up much sooner than I expected as it was bitter cold and snowing. They worked about a half day and left because they did not have the proper equipment to reach the height of an older two story home.

I was led to believe that the material they were using was a Leaf Filter product that was perforated to allow for ventilation of the attic. However it was not perforated, installed directly over the old wood soffit and picked up at the ABC store in Hudson! Not to be confused with the ABC Liquor Store they told me! The next day I received a call from the salesman saying the price was misquoted and would like me to come up with $500 more!

Gutter never was installed, I'm being billed for costs that I didn't want through their finance company which shows up on my credit report and looks unfavorable to my bank when I applied for a loan! Subcontractors were qualified, courteous, and underpaid! They were not surprised when I told them the work was not done and admitted there were other problems with other clients. Then they pointed out to me that there was no mention of a gutter replacement in the contract!

HMMM!

Gutter people don't do gutters or buyer beware! I've been bamboozled by a team of con artists!

Poor customer service

When I placed my order I was promised that I would be notified before they came to install. I tried setting up appointment times several different ways but never a response.

I got a call one day when I was at the work asking for payment, I said the job was never done. To my surprise he told me they came over a week ago and installed the product. No one was home that day so I am not sure they even cleaned the gutters.

Very disappointed in leaffilter and how sneaky they are. They are not honest

LeafFilter North - Inside Corner Problems

We have lots of oak trees. We saw a demonstration at a local wine festival and I liked what I saw.

After working the numbers and being convinced that I would never need to climb a ladder again, we had our LeafFilter installed this past summer (2017). During a normal rain fall, I noticed water running over the top of the gutter on one of my inside gutter corners and onto my deck - see video. After the rain stopped, I investigated the problem and found black gunk covering the micro-mesh screen that prevented the water from entering the gutter. I contacted service and the guy told me this is a known problem that nothing can be done to fix it, except to periodically climb up a ladder and clean them.

Really??

This is why I bought this product. I would not recommend LeafFilter if you have lots of trees and inside corners like we do.

LeafFilter North - Installed LeafFilter Summer 2017 - Major Problem

I live in the woods and there are many oak trees near my home. For most of the summer, the Leaf Filter worked flawlessly.

BUT, when the leaves began to fall, so did the black, fine debris from the trees. I have 5 inside corners with splash-guards installed by Leaf Filter. Last week we had about an 1" of rain in about 30 minutes. ALL of the inside corners had a major waterfall falling from the gutters on to my steps and deck.

After the rain stopped, I climbed on the roof and cleaned the piles of leaves from behind the splash-guard on each inside corner. I took a picture of the buildup of the black debris - see picture. I then contacted their service department, and the guy that called me back told me this is a common problem with inside corners. I asked how do we fix it?

He said he could send someone out this year to clean them but I would have to climb up a ladder and clean them from then on. REALLY!!!

The salesman told me I would NEVER have to climb a ladder again. If you live in the woods and have inside corners on your gutters, DON'T buy Leaf Filter - It doesn't work!!!

Excellent work, showed up ahead of scheduled time and finished in about 4 hrs 135' of Leaf Filter, cleaned up after themselves, did everything the salesman said they would, Installers were very friendly and knowledgeable.

I had Leaf Filter installed on my home 6 months ago and they work as good as they did when they were installed. I have no overflow issues, no more water in my basement, and best of all i havn't gone upon my ladder to clean the gutters since.
