Poor customer service

The product itself is a decebt product. Realize this....if its to good be true it probably is.

The only employees of the company are the managers. Everyone else is a sub. Its not your sales...subcontracotrs fault...they are trained to "embelish". Bottom line is this.....take the estimate...schedule out 4 days....call to cancel...price will got $11 or $12 a foot.

Now remember....you will have to clean off your product. You wont have to clean your gutters but you will clean your leaffilter...or pay them $78 to do it. Your gutters wont ever need to be maintained.

No company in their right mind will warrant work/product theybdidnt do. No matter what your subcontracted sales person tells you it wont happen

Poor customer service

I bought a house that had leaffilter guards installed. The mesh screen had blown off at some point.

Because of this the gutter needed to be replaced. I contacted leaffilter to have the screen replaced, the system inspected after the gutter company re-installed, and some small sections added where the gutters were extended beyond the original length.

I was told repeatedly that I did not have leaffilter brand guards on my system and made to submit photos to prove that it was a leaffilter guard. The guards had the leaffilter name and patent number marked on them, which I explained to the person on the phone several times. Basically your representatives insinuated that I could not read.

I moved past this as I simply wanted some minor work and a screen replaced on my system.

I have left over 2 messages a week with the representative for 2 months with no call backs. I am removing the system from my house and will never consider this company again.

I worked for Leaffilter briefly, and was nothing nut disappointed.

They promise the world when they hire you. They talked up the

integrity of the company, but once I signed on, it was all about

charging the customer as much as possible, and then keep discounting

until they said yes. The " life-time warranty" is a joke. You were lucky

to have any problems addressed when they put it in. We were instructed

to lie that we were employees of Leaffilter, and they installers were all

employees. But in truth, we were all sub-contractors, told to lie, get

the customers money, and move to the next target. The whole thing

was a B.S. scam. Beware, and just pay someone $60.00 to clean your

gutters right, instead of the multiple thousands- leaf filter tries to extract

from unsuspecting people. Stay away! I know, cause I worked for them

and found out the ugly truth the hard way.

Use to work for Leaffilter, or should I say, was a subcontractor.

We are told to lie to the customer, and do anything we can to

get the sale. Salespeople, like the installers are NOT employees,

just temporary subcontractors. We only got paid if we could bilk the

customer out of as much money as possible. For those who are still

considering this product, listen to the pitch, and wait. They start of a

a outrageous price of about $ 30 ft. If the customer balks, we "discount to $ 26.00 ft.

If they still balk, $ 20.00 ft. As a last resort, we call the manager, put him

on speaker phone, and he comes up with a B.S. story and says we can get

it at $ 13.00 ft. They try to squeeze as much money out of the customer as possible.

As a last resort. They sell it at cost (yeah right) and still make a ton of money,

expect for the poor salesman. It is a *** game. Many promises- no follow

through. Buyer beware. The whole outfit is unethical. Let see If the is a company has a response to this and lies again. As they say in Texas- Leaffilter is all hat, and no

cattle! Had to leave the company. It is tough to lie to nice unsuspecting people

all day, and try to sleep at night!

Warranty issue

Sales man was really pushing i ended buying the product now i have horible problems whit it managers wont talk to me they wont honor their waranty the water goes over the gutters and no one wants to deal whit it and all they do is they send a kid whit some screw drivers and a some silicone to try to fix the problem no materials .

Salesman came at our request for quote. Quote was higher than we were willing to pay.

The sixth quote allowed a monthly cost of $78 monthly for the first year then we would pay it off with no interest fees. The credit card bill came from Wells Fargo Home Projects (we didn't know it wasn't financed by them but hadn't actually asked). The monthly bill was $136.92. Considering that is nearly $59 more than our signed contract indicated, we contacted LeafFilter.

The only reply was the salesman was new. They were unwilling to work with us or do anything to uphold their contract so we disputed the claim. All documentation was provided to Wells Fargo. We learned one of LeafFilter's documents was even altered but because the selling price was what was quoted we were told "the terms are correct as being billed." I am still confused how terms are correct at $59 more per month BUT here is the rest of the story...

we have large maple trees which produce many seeds. Those seeds being in our gutters were what prompted the purchase. Not only is it an unpleasant job but being on a ladder trying to rid the gutters each spring is not particularly safe. The attached photo shows our gutters this past spring AFTER LeafFilter installed their product.

The gutter protection accomplished nothing as the seeds had to be removed from off the gutter protection. This photo was sent to LeafFilter - no response was received. No response was received after speaking to the owner or manager regarding the incorrect monthly charges we DID NOT agree to and no response was received despite numerous attempts to get all of this resolved through LeafFilter without disputing the monthly charge amount or the fact the gutter protection didn't provide what was intended.

This is a VERY disappointed "customer"... I wouldn't spend any money for the so-called gutter protection LeafFilter installs.

Had an estimate for Leaf Filter. WE were given an estimate, However WE were give and amount lower amount if we would say yes right then.

When my husband said he couldn't give a right now yes. The guy that came out said "yea I go out and give these estimates, with gutters hanging of the roof and I go back and they're still hanging. all they want is an estimate" I didn't appreciate being compared to somebody that has no intention on buying. Cause we would of.

To me I felt like we were being pressured. My husband and myself are both disabled.

Poor customer service

It has been a long time since I have seen the tactics these people use to generate sales. The heavy handed sales person was horrible.

I threw him out of my house. He was rude, demeaning, controversial, and downright nasty. Beware of these folks. It seemed as though they were selling siding or vacuum cleaners.

The $10,000 quote took my breath away. What a bunch of huxters....

It has been a long time since I have seen that kind of selling. I was going to call the main office number but decided that it would be fruitless.

I am sure that they operate the same way all over the country. I would be happy to pay someone $100 every 6 months to clean my gutters.

Pricing issue

I was interested in getting leaf filter, and had there salesman

come out to give my a price. He said I needed 150 feet,and

my price would be $ 4400.00. (almost $ 30 dollars a foot)

When I said I needed to think about it, he lowered the price to

$3800, saying he could offer a factory discount. When I said I still

wanted to think about it, he said I could get a flexible installation

discount, he again lowered the price, this time to $ 2900.00

if I would sign the contract today. Astounded by the sudden $ 1500.00

drop, I again said I needed time to think it over. He then called his

manager saying I needed time, and the manager said I could receive

commercial pricing because I had white gutters ( most everyone does)

and my price would be $ 1900, but I had to agree to a contract right away!

$ 2500 hundred dollar drop in a matter of minutes. They are obviously making

money at this price too. I them realized the pricing scam and said no thank

you!!! Beware consumers, the product did not seem bad but the deceptive

sales practices ,left me with a bad taste. Beware everyone!

To start, they have their employees get on these sites to talk up their product in hopes it will outweigh all the negative remarks. They do this on Facebook as well.

In reality the product shouldn't be purchased. The screen holes are too small and everything gets caught in or on top of it, just causing water to overrun the gutter. Don't tell them this though, because they refuse to give a refund or take any credibility on any of this.

They simply answer with, "well your gutter is clear isn't it?" Well yes it is, but if the water is going to flow overtop of my gutter and "Leaffilter Guard" I could have taken my gutter off and saved $4,000+. DO NOT BUY or listen to their sleazy salesmen.
