I seen them at a show in kalamazoo, mi and this lady insisted no it doesnt clog so i figured okay Ill take a look. The sale guy or Manager as he said no we give you your money back if it clogs.

Then we wanted to think about it and they guys refused to leave so we signed and then sent in the notice to cancel and by the time we got home they had installed the product a day early. The sales guy said SORRY THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO!!!!!

now our gutters have more ice than before and they clog with everything. I took them off and threw them away THIS PRODUCT IS AWFUL!!!!

This company sold a job for 5800.00 which came out to 28 dollars a foot. I am an installer and they pay us 1.00 per foot to install this.

They wanted me to go 85 miles and chisel ice out of a gutter and didnt want to pay me an extra trip charge. Not to mention the operations manager RICK MOSBY lied about the roads being bad and there were 4 installers and 2 marketers waiting for their checks that all drove on the same roads and RICK MOSBY decided just to stay home.

Beware of this company!!!! They will overcharge you and their leadership and customer service is horrible!

I had this installed near Traverse City and I was told by the sales representative that everything would wash off. WRONG!!!

I have a white Birch tree and the stuff just piles up like wet newspaper and the water runs right over the top, this results in me having to scrape off my gutter protection that I was told I would never have to clean.

Also I have a Metal roof which they told me it wouldnt be a problem but the ice problem is far worse now that I have had this installed this on my house. Never again Ill just clean them for the price I paid.

I worked for Leaffilter North of Michigan. As a ritual every morning the Operations Manager (Rick Mosby) and the installation Manager would sit down and try to figure out how to get people that were refusing to pay because of a badly installed job to pay.

We went to Florida for a Company Trip and I was physically assaulted (Pictures to follow) I was beaten within an inch of my life by the two officers CHRIS COUNAHAN (vice president of sales) AND JOE ROSCHIVAL(vice president of installation) and the Charlotte, NC Operations Manager Beah Leahy. I will be posting videos of this on you tube and have also sent them to several News Channels in which some have contacted me to interview next week.

MATT KAULIG (OWNER) refused to do anything about the matter and forced me to resign, I am currently in the process of suing and will follow up on progress along with you tube videos. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

I am also an old employee of Leaffilter and I know Joe R. personally as well as owner.

That are both amazing men & I do not believe for one moment that Joe would have abused a person like that. As for owner Matt he is a super nice guy and he does care about his customers as well as employees. They did not grow the company this large this fast by treating employees and customers like ***. While working with the company I handled customer complaints and Matt would always make sure that his customers were happy and well taken care of.

I learned so much while working for Leaffilter & I am happy to let people know what a great company they truly are. Tina C.

BUNCH OF *** LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The funniest part is how great of a company they think they are. They find random contractors to install the job for $1 per foot and rip off the customer for $35 per foot. They take down anyone just to make money.

They are not only ripping off the customers but also the employees and contractors that work for them. They don't give a *** about any of their employees. All the CEO wants is to be rich and screw everyone else over to get to the top. I agree with this man.

I requested an estimate online. Someone got back to me within 24 hours, to tell me that someone would contact me!

That never happened. I wrote an email and they never even bothered to respond to it! In the email I explained that I had never been contacted by a representative to come out and provide an estimate. Can't imagine what their service would be like if they can't even get their act together to give an estimate.

Too bad really, I had read Consumer Reports and it gave them a very favorable review. Would not trust them at all now.

I just had the exact same experience. They canceled on me twice and then called and said they would not service my area.

Further research shows the product in inferior anyway. I would suggest one thing...Run!

You want a complaint I worked for the company two years I've worked on gutters for over 10 years bottom line the product sucks u want tiger stripes on your gutters after two years cause where their 5 foot sections come together cause a valley and stain the outside gutter great! Leaf Filter is not telling the whole truth they are lying to you. They claim they beat all the competition the fact is there were only two companies that sent there products in for testing leaf filter and gutter glove and Consumer reports Magazine only tested these products against other screen with larger holes, Consumer Reports came out with a few article stating this after seeing what leaf filter was doing claiming that they beat everybody the fact of the matter is they only beat one other company, Consumer reports did say with these type of screens you still have to climb that ladder to keep them clean.

Leaf Filter history is not won to be proud of when they first came out they were using a vinyl mesh screen that did not hold up and had hundreds of complaints that they did not honor.

I emailed them over the weekend asking for a free estimate. I received two calls Monday trying to set up a time.

I offered them several times and was told "your wife must be present during the visit". When I asked why, "we feel it's better that way". I'm so glad I found this site but any company that is selling you gutter guards and requires your wife be there, isn't someone I'd want to do business with. They obviously don't feel comfortable trying to sell to a male on the merits of the product.

Ironically, I'm not married! Buyers Beware!

Installed LeafFilter around the 1st of April 2013. We paid $5800 for the LeafFilter product on our house with a lifetime warranty.

Sure the gutter does not clog... because the screen on the product clogs with pollen and won't let the water thru to the gutters. This happened within less than a month. Our gutters don't work, the water flows over and behind the gutters.

It is much worse than before we had them put on. We have requested that they remove them. We were told that they would but would not refund our money.

We were told that they would clean them for $78 each time. In two months, we have had to have them cleaned 3 times and they need it again.

There is no way I'd be paying them to come clean it. That's not what they advertise and that's not what you paid for.

Where in your original contract does it say it would have to manually cleaned off? No where. Having all the same issues. It's advertised as self cleaning.

You're paying subcontractors is what you're doing. Turns out Leaf Filters uses almost all subcontractors.

Every single person that's ever actually showed up for us in the last 2 years for constant problems have been subcontractors who make us sign paperwork so "they"ll get paid" by Leaf Filter. They've never corrected the problems so we're suing.

I put on Leaf Filter Gutter Protection so I would not have to clean my gutters, I paid over $2000 for this privilege and that was for the 2nd story gutters only. They guarantee that my gutters would never clog and they are right, after about 12 month's the screening clogs up and absolutely nothing gets into your gutters, not even the water.

This is causing damage to my house and landscaping from the waterfalls that comes off my roof which is splashing back onto my house. When I bought this system I was told by the dealer that they would come out and clean the screening for free if it clogs. They did keep their word and came out when I called at no charge the first time. Downside the waterfalls started back within 12 months and progressively gets worst.

I called to get the screen cleaned again and found out that the company that sold me this garbage is no longer carrying this line and Leaf Filter is not supporting their claim to cleaning the screening and want $105 for the cleaning.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from these gutter systems as they are really not much more than a great idea that mother nature will figure out a way to clog. If your dealer says they will clean the screening for free, they might, until they move on to a different product line and leave you with nothing more than promises to suck more money out of you.

The Leaf Filter system is 100% guaranteed not to let your gutters clog and this is where they get you. There is no explanation from the sales reps that the mesh may clog and have to be cleaned off.

There is no guarantee of the mesh not clogging and you will be told that the debris will just dry up and blow off. Well this is not the case at all and I have waterfalls over my gutters every time it rains and I'm constantly trying to clean the screen but as soon as the rain washes wet debris onto the mesh I have the same problem.

Overall there is no difference in having the gutters clog or the mesh clog so I feel I waited $1,800.00 and I'm not at all happy about it and I plan to spread the word as far as I can.

I had a LeafFilter Gutter System installed on my home in October of 2010 at a cost of $3962.00. They represented that the mesh screens of the system "is nearly 100% water permeable and has self cleaning properties; no organic debris or shingle grit can permanently adhere to it to cause it to clog." Since early spring of 2012, the LeafFilter gutter system mesh HAS clogged and water is flowing across the top of the mesh(despite constant cleaning)like Niagra Falls and onto my carport and landscaping causing damage.

I have tried to contact the contractor...no response.

I filed a BBB case against Leaf Filter LLC (who I sent my signed warranty contract to) and they basically stated to the BBB that they were not responsible and to stop bothering them with all the claims. Which leads me to believe that they have had MANY complaints.

I believe your story. In fact I've seen many photos of the mesh screen clogging from algae.

However Leaffilter themselves always likes to point out that these reviews are left anonymously and are therefore bogus reviews left by competitors. If you want to do researchers a favor, then alway leave your name to make the review more credible!

Most of the professionally installed systems use a surface-tension design, where water is supposed to cling to the surface and flow into the gutters while leaves pass over and fall to the ground. Though all were impressive at shedding debris, even the top-scoring Leaf Filter screen was only middling at containing a severe downpour.

Leaf filter installs flat and allows everything to just sit on it. Try Gutterglove or Mastershield.

They install at the same pitch as your roof.

As a matter of fact in the Consumer Reports test , Gutterglove was the best performance product test. Facts

Einstein. If you read the bottom of the article it states Leaf Filter handles 2.5 to 3.5 inches of water per hour.

Leaf Filter does not use surface tension.

This is why these sites need a Dummy Filter for posters like you.
