Gave me a quote of $2900 for 120 feet of Leaf Filter. I have no corners, all straight runs on top of brand new gutters.

I said no way, it would be cheaper to have my gutters cleaned twice a year. He then dropped his price to $2000 if I signed on the spot. I told him I wanted to get more prices from other companies and confer with my wife. He said the price was only good that day.

He stormed off then screeched his tires as he sped away. I now have a roofer who is giving me simular gaurds for $950.

I have written and tried to contact Leaf Filter concerning a serious overflow problem causing black mold and mildew on the cement deck below. Due to the incorrect angle of the gutters they also collect leaves in the Fall and oak fronds in the Spring which have to be manually removed.

I have a large home with two levels of gutters so the job was very expensive. I received a Warranty but when I tried to contact Leaf FIlter with a letter of complaint it was returned saying "moved...left no forwarding address"

Their website also did not respond. Buyer Beware!

Highly unprofessional, rude and full of lies - Including Sales Rep and Installation Crew. They kept making appointment, did

not show up or cared to call to notify. We kept waiting, missing our work. Its been three months the job is still not complete, even our repeated phone calls and requests. Every time they come up with new lames escuses and lies. Our gutter problem still persists not to mention because of their lousy incomplete work our basement starting flooding. Sales rep had promised to not to charge a penny if we are not satisfied. Forget about those lame excuses they did not even call to apologize. We are contemplating to take legal action against the company. We had to pay for cleaning and other items we lost due to water damage in basement.

I PURCHASED LEAFFILTER IN 2011. WORKED GREAT UNTIL NOW .

I CAN CLEAN THE FRONT BUT THE BACK OF HOME IS TWO STORY. I PURCHASE LEAFFILTER SO I WOULD NOT HAVE TO GET ON A LADDER. THE COMPANY WHO INSTALLED IS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS, SO I AM OUT OF LUCK GETTING THEM CLEANED UNLESS I WANT TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. SO MUCH FOR LIFE TIME WARRANTY.

YEA THE GUTTERS ARE CLEAN BUT THE SCREEN IS CLOGGED .

ITS A LIFE TIME WARRANTY AS LONG AS THE COMPANY WHO USES THE LEAFFILTER SYSTEM IS STILL IN BUSINESS WHEN YOU NEED HELP.. SAVE YOUR MONEY CHEAPER TO PAY SOMEONE TO CLEAN YOUR GUTTERS.

My wife and I went to our cities annual art fair. At the event we stopped by a booth which was showing Gutter Protection.

The lady at the display suggested that we fill out a card to get a "FREE NO COST & NO OBLIGATION ESTIMATE". Too day's later we were called by: LEAF FILTER for our estimate. The Salesperson was only 48 hours late, and was very,very, HIGH PRESSURE!!.

He was extremely unhappy that we didn't sign up for his price $ 3,644.00 (152 ft.) of high priced protection! The next morning we were called by LEAF FILTER'S regional manager and he offered a total price including all taxes of $ 1672.00 WOW DON'T BUY FROM THE FIRST GUY, SAVE BIG MONEY WAIT!!

I'm not surprised at all with this post. I own a gutter protection company and I meet a homeowner that wouldn't allow me in his home ,and ask if we could do presentation outside on the tailgate of my truck.

Once he agreed to work with us he told me how he had to threaten to call the police to get a leaffilter rep. To leave his home after he had dropped his price over $2000.00 in order to get the deal.

I understand sales and how important time is for a commissioned sales rep. But sometimes a no is a no .

So the HIGH pressure salesman convinced my husband to sign up. I was VERY leery of this sales tactic.

Price only good for that second. The next day I told him to cancel, which he did. That was 3 weeks and 2 days ago. 5 days later they cashed our check for the down payment.

Called 3 times and finally got a return call 2 days later. He was "shocked" how that check could have possibly been cashed. Two weeks ago we were told our check would be sent out "right away". So still no check.

Called 2 days ago to find out what the *** is going on. Still no phone call or check.

BBB get's my next review.

For decades, my husband had been lugging out the ladder to clear the 2nd story gutters of pine needles and those stringy things that come off of an old oak tree that we simply refuse to have taken off our property. About 10 years ago, he installed some chicken wire mesh that he suspected would help him out with the larger debris that comes off the trees, i.e. leaves, pine cones. While they worked for a brief period of time (meaning they reduced the amount of debris), they never totally eradicated the problem. As we were walking through a street fair three summers ago, we saw the LeafFilter system on display. We spoke to the woman who was representing the company and she took our information. I remember receiving a call from them either the next day or the day after that. The salesman arrived at the scheduled hour and we decided that it only made sense to buy a Consumer Reports #1 rated product if we were going to invest thousands into our gutters.

This summer, my neighbor was expressing her concern to me about her husband who is now 67 years old risking injury climbing a ladder to do the unpleasant chore of cleaning the gutters. I recommended Leaf Filter and she called them out. She also signed up for the system, BUT her husband who is a little more frugal than I am, went looking for every excuse to cancel the project before the scheduled installation date. He brought this website to her attention, and she immediately called me in a nervous state to ask me if I had experienced any of the things mentioned on this site. Obviously, I would not recommend Leaf Filter to her or anyone else if the system did not work. After reassuring her for what seemed like a conversation that took forever, she got her husband to end the requests to cancel the project. They are now experiencing the freedom of not having to worry about their gutters anymore. Thanks again, Leaf Filter.

While I had already reviewed them back in 2011 on more popular (and more reputable) review sites, I felt compelled to leave an in-depth review of my experience with this company, which has been nothing shy of everything they assured me when I met with the salesman. While I am not of the computer generation, I can appreciate how much information is readily available on the internet about companies, their people, and their products. Call me crazy, but when it comes to things like these, I rely on more credible sources like CONSUMER REPORTS and the Better Business Bureau. If I entertain reviews of people who "own" the products, I at least make sure its on a site like Angie's List, where reviews are verified.

Anyone second guessing him/herself like my friend's husband did, allow me to recommend you looking at your regional BBB for a complaint history on the company. Presently, in NJ (where I live), Leaf Filter has only 1 complaint in the past 3 years. That says more to me than anything I read here when I consider the hundreds, if not thousands, of customers who have probably bought the system in that time period.

COMMON SENSE, PEOPLE !!! And keep in mind that no one throws stones at the tree that doesn't bear fruit.

JUst to let you be aware I thought I was getting the real product nothing you can do for me MY problem to deal with

I was by my own trusting nature taken in by someone claiming to be a saleman with LeafFilter .I had been hearing good things about them soooo signed up and two fellows from Cary,NC they said replaced my old gutter's with what I thought the real deal NOT money check written Warranty to follow never has when tried to track down phone disconnected .. I was one of the ones you read of each day SCAMMED even had the now I know fake poster by my driveway .I am angry at myself and have reported them BUT money gone bad work on the gutters.

I am a sucker.BUYERS beware learn from my act QUESTION all never do any deciding on the day they try to sell you anything. The true LeafFilter guy's should know bad guy's out there using your good name

New gutters were installed and the gutters are overflowing away from the downspouts. They were incorrectly installed.

The gutters are tilted wrong. The company came out and wanted $70 an hour to fix the problem that was their problem as they were improperly installed.
