July 2021 I had gutters installed by leaf filter. The same day it rained, and water flowed over and in between the gutter and flashing.

I had reached out to leaf filter many times and received no response. Finally, someone from the Albany, NY office reached out. Techs came out on multiple occasions to remedy the situation. The last tech applied sealant between the gutter and flashing.

I have been told by leaf-filter that in heavy rains, rain can overflow. However, I am the only home during heavy rain that happens to. I should not have to pay someone to regrate the area and relocate my electrical box because water is overflowing behind and in front of the gutters. My previous gutters did not have an issue of overflowing even with the existing downspouts being barred underground.

The reason I had leaf filter install new gutters was because of a new roof that was put on my home in May 2021. I wanted everything to look new. If I was not disabled, I would have fixed this myself. Bottom line: I still have defective gutters, with ladder marks on them, and gobs of silicone to stop the water from overflowing.

I should not be penalized for having to deal with quick fixes for an installation that went bad.

I should not have to pay $95.00 to have someone come look at a preexisting issue. Reality:- I don't understand why Leaf Filter has not said to me" We will take down the gutters and start fresh with new gutters installed by an experienced installer." It's an absolute shame that I should have to go through all this stress to have new gutters installed properly.

LeafFilter North - They installed Leaffilter but it has been nothing but trouble.

First, they damaged the CCTV cables. They had to come several times to fix it.

Then with the next rain we noticed that the water was coming from under the gutter! There was a gap in the roof where they installed the gutter guard. This resulted in flooding of the house with the next rain. The agent who sweet talked us into the deal doesn't answer calls once he got his money.

They claim all their installers are employees of the company, but it seems they just hire people on a casual basis to do jobs. The customer service is very slow and inefficient.

The so called insurance cover is nonexistent. All the claims to differentiate themselves from other companies turned out to be false.

I have recently installed new gutters. I have noticed a issue when it rains.

I called and received a service appointment date and time. No show, no call on day of appointment.

I called 2 times inquiring about my appointment as was told 2 times that service was still on the way. Once again, no call, no show, I have called 3 times since then and been told that someone would contact me concerning a new appointment, once again, no call.

I have many trees around my house and get tons of leaves, this purchase is going to be an excellent investment for year’s to come! First off, outside of Witney Burd Office Administrator for LF North, LLC a representative sending me a demand for payment letter and that the written notice is to inform me that LF intent is to place a lien on my property if the outstanding balance is not paid, I have not heard from anyone on a reasonable solution. The letter claims repeated attempts to contact me to collect payment.

I have responded to all contact made and still refuse to paying for any services in which I was charged for products that were NOT supplied, NOT performed or that were performed poorly. A response letter was mailed to LF North - Edmond OK. from me expressing my complaint once again and that full payment will not be remitted for improper and incomplete installation and the failure to do the job correctly. The threat to place a lien against my property is a pure indication this company has poor customer service, poor values, and are dishonest.

There is no signed written agreement between LF and myself, my letter clearly states payment will be paid only for the reasonable agreed amount in which proper installation and services were rendered to which LF should assess and propose based on my complaint and response letter. Plenty of photos documenting the poor performance were submitted to three to four representatives, including this site and the sales rep. It's obvious a judge will need to settle this issue.

Secondly - This is not a isolated incident. LF reviews and complaint history is numerous and very poor all across the state of OK and country.

** A must Read Complaint** We requested Leaf Filter come out a quote the leaf filter gutter protection system. My existing gutters were not in poor condition, however, they were dirty, uneven, detaching and required much needed service.

After a lengthy presentation of how great the company was and how This Old House has ranked them one of the best gutter companies in the US the presentation just kept going and going like some of these new shows on Netflix. They claim to use Leaf Filter vetted or qualified service installers. Finally I had to tell the salesman just tell me the cost. He provided a price of $6875.

dollars which is ridicules. I immediately told him that price is not going to happen here. Not for the liner foot I have, its way over priced and I have no trees around. The high pressure sales was to get me to buy something for immediate flex convenience fee lowering it to $4747.

This is just for their Leaf Filter patented system. No new gutters and down spouts, not new fascia etc. After declining everything and telling the salesman I am done, the pressure to sale something ended up a second offer to clean, realign, level and attachment my falling guttering system. Change 1 downspout end to a 45 degree kick out and install these leveling clips every 3-5 feet that supposed to place your gutter at the correct angle, remove the old spike nails from one gutter section installing new supports and the clips and chalk all ends and joints.

This quote went from $1433. to $1,183. Mind you I can get new seamless gutters under a thousand to twelve hundred dollars roughly. Why in the heck would I agree to anything they are offering.

His final act to get some sort of sale before he left was to offer all the companies service except installing the filter system for $916.00. I still was leery, however, $916.00 was somewhat reasonable for the services I thought they were going to provide so I would not have to do it myself. After not signing anything he said they would be in contact with me in a few days and send me the work order, but the service team would want to contact me also in a few days to perform the services. Before receiving the quote the salesman text me and said the service team would be on site the next day.

I have not even received the work order documentation yet. Finally I did but, I did not reply to the salesman about the appointment time because it was to short notice and we had to work and could not be there. That did not stop the service team from showing up and wanting to get started. Contrary to my instinct, I allowed them to perform their services unsupervised.

Here is what you need to know.

First they do not use they own service techs, They are all sub contractors. Not just one company, several. There take on cleaning my gutters as was to blow the gutters out, flinging roof aggrate all over the drive, my vehicle in the drive and patio and porch. They did a poor job cleaning the gutters leaving dirt and grime in several gutters, when confronted why they did not use water they claimed the calking would not stick.

So they may applied calk to 2-3 areas and globbed it on. They applied in over aggregate and dirt in those areas and it was not cleaned. It would have been better to wash it out and it was hot enough to dry fairly quickly or dry it up and apply calking correctly. They did not install the 45 degree end piece per the request.

They did not install the leveling clips every 3-5 feet throughout the gutter system. they installed some, maybe 6-10 throughout the whole system, not what they told me. If they flushed the gutters they could tell they that the downspout was clogged completely. When realigning the gutters they placed screws in some areas at angles that split the wood by blowing through the edge.

One area they pushed up on my roofing where it met the fascia and it detached the roof, leaving a 2 inch gap for rain to get in to cause damage. Some gutter areas had gaps where light could be seen where again water could leach back and cause water damage. None of this was brought to my attention. When complaining to the salesman the same day as the service work, all he said was ya , sounds like we need to get someone back out for sure.

A followup text after sending pictures was that he was trying to get service set up so I would not have to call friends at the call center.

They did send another service company out in which he determined they failed to clean the gutters correctly and the one downspout he checked was fully clogged. He could not perform the corrections due to timing but was willing to take a look and come back. I did not want him to bother and that I wanted to file a complaint. Needless to say, I refuse to pay the full payment and am going to require the company to adjust their rate to what they did do correctly.

I refuse to have them send another contractor to my home to fix what they should have done right the first time. Photo available and court is next.

Great product / experience From the time the sales specialist came out to discuss the product it was easy going, no pressure and the product speaks for itself. On Monday a sales rep came to my house & I contracted to have the gutter system installed the next day. I think I was too quick to agree to the price & suspect all the supposed discounts were a farce.

Regardless my bad. What was really caused me dismay & made me second guess this decision was the whole installation process: 1. Installer had no LeafFilter ID. 2.

He had a very rudimentry understanding or speaking English. 3. You didnot & should have provided him with a cooler w/ plenty of water. He had to ask me for water.

4. When done he handed me 2 pieces of paper to complete & sign.He shrugged in a "I don't know?" way when I asked any questions. None of these are his fault, they are yours & a sign of horrible service & disrespect for your employees & customer. Why no ID?

Was he an outside contractor? Why wasn't he provided with a translator paper so we could comunicate? The internet has lots of translator sites that you could easily have printed one up & laminated for him. The whole not providing employees with things to keep them safe & protected like cold water.

I'm surprised OSHA allows that. Why don't you provide all the tools, like water, to complete a job that is a danger to their health?

I'm still not confident these were installed properly or will work as promised since from the moment he knocked on the door with no id to install alone I started to doubt my decision. Also several places, where I could see, they were not flat & had to have him fix.

So time will tell & I wonder if there are issues later that you won't honor & fix them with your "lifetime transferable warranty" because of weird wordings & loopholes. We'll see.

it is not level to say the least. poor workmanship ; i did not see it from the ground till got up on a ladder , it goes up &down like the ocean !

The crew and leaf filters performed as promised! The team arrived promptly and communicated with me early in the a.m. as to anticipated schedule. They were professional, efficient and did everything the sales staff promised. Even though the gutters were only 3 months old they needed cleaning a minimal adjusting. They explained the process as they progressed. They cleaned up as they went and left the yard and house clean. We had rain the next day and they preformed as promised. No water dripping oug of gutters. REALLY looking forward to not cleaning gutters again! Thanks! Ralph P.

Great Experience

Great experience all around. Sales representative was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk to. He was able to book our installation for the next day, which was great. LeafFilter North did indeed contact me by phone to set up a service person visit. Timing was bad because we went out of state.

I plan to resume communication when I return. No further comments at this time.

Easy Install

Very prompt salesmen and installers. Sales person showed up on time and the installation was done one day early. The next day the installer showed up again and made sure that the area was cleaned up properly and he did an inspection and repair of a flaw that was discovered. Within a week we got some rain and were able to see that everything worked very well. We are 100% satisfied with LeafFilter. Loy D.

An apology for failure to provide a timely service call. It shows you all don't really care about the customer post sale. The back up of leaves pushed water up over the drip edge to the point where I was seeing water coming out of my soffit vent.

After several calls and promises made about calling me back because of a cancelled service call, I just gave up and rescheduled another service call. The gal that answered knew I was upset and was very quick to hang up after scheduling the service.

I'll see if they show up this time.

They were unable to clean the leaves from my gutters when they installed them in November so with the summer rains, the gutters are clogged, and I cannot get to them. I'll see if they show up and clean them out now that they aren't frozen.

User's recommendation: My suggestion, have the install done in the summer so this isn't a problem.

I had the leaf filter representative come out and give us a estimate of cost to put leaf filter on our gutters. The representative was very pleasant and professional answered any questions we had. The leaf filter installation was done quickly 2 days after even though the edit image is good for a year. Both myself and my husband are in our late 60 and it was time to stop going up in the ladder to clean out the gutters . Within 2 days we had heavy rain is ‘‘twas so nice to see how well they worked .
