We purchased the Leaf Filter system in January and had a problem from day 1. We own a Cape Cod house with a steeply pitched roof and were most concerned about run off. The salesman showed a demo in which they ran water in the sink and the leaf filter system handled it. Unfortunately, we believed him.

Anyone that gets snow should be careful before they buy this product. When it snows, the water freezes in the micro-mesh which acts like a cover to the gutter. The water then runs off effectively rendering the gutter useless. This occurs even with a light snow. Also, it can cause leaks as the water backs up along the top back of the gutter. You will have a trench line anywhere that this runoff hits the ground.

The service rep has been useless. What seemed like a no brainer has turned into a nightmare. We are probably looking at having it ripped out and new gutters installed. Be careful before you buy because if you get snow/freezing temperatures you will have the same problem.

Dont by it.it's cheaper to have it cleaned.
