WE hired Leaf filter to install their gutter guard system on newly installed gutters (from another contractor). The crew finished the job up as it was getting dark and I could not see the damage that was done prior to them leaving.

They requested a check upon completion. A few days later I was able to inspect the gutters. I observed damage to all of the gutters. It appeared to be dents from extra gutter hangers that they installed and a few dents appeared to be from ladders.

Leaf Filter sent out an inspector, he agreed to the damage caused by leaf filter installers and said the office would contact me. I waited and heard nothing. After numerous attempts at calling the office they finally agreed to send out a gutter crew to replace the gutters and their guards. They refused to let us use the original gutter company for install and told me that their policy was to use only their installers.

Now, since we used Leaf Filter for the first floor gutter replacement, our gutters have no warranty like we had from the original installers. Leaf Filters gutter company installed new gutters only on the first floor saying that they didn't have a crew that could install the second floor gutters. They said that a pergola was in the way, it was there when they did the initial install. The installer left and I never heard from Leaf filter until once again I called them.

As of today 12-30 2020 one of the managers "Doug" called me and said that if I wanted the second floor gutters replaced I would have to pay my gutter company (Richmond) to do it and they would reimburse me for the cost. I told him that this was not acceptable and that I wanted to speak with someone from the corporate office. He said that I could call them all that I wanted to, it would just come back to him and I will get the same answer. I actually have called the corporate office several times and they send me back to the local office.

Corporate will not speak to me in person, you just get an operator. To me this is totally unacceptable!

I am the victim and there should be zero out of pocket expense for something that Leaf Filter has damaged. I just want the product that I already have paid for and I want my damaged gutters replaced without any upfront cost to me.

User's recommendation: Be very careful with this company, especially the Indianapolis branch.

Monetary Loss: $6000.
