This was a FRAUD attempt by LeafFilter. A LeafFilter salesman came to our house at 7PM on 10/11/21 even after we asked that the appointment be rescheduled, so it would be light outside and see the condition of our gutters.

He had no business card. We listened to the sales pitch and decided to give it a try, and signed a contract to have our gutters REPAIRED, SEALED, and their Product installed on 10/18/2021, and were told the installation would take one full day. On 10/12/21, a crew call at noon, and said they could come right out and get started. Seemed odd, but I said okay.

However, 3 hours later they still had not shown up. So my wife called the Bloomington LeafFilter office at 309-713-**** and asked when their crew would arrive. Dan the Service Manager answered and was very disrespectful to my wife and said it would only take 2 hours to install the LeafFilter product and scoffed at her. So we cancelled the order.

Requested confirmation number and cancelation confirmation email, but they refused. 2 (not 3 as promised) installers arrive anyway. When the installers arrived (Notactual LeafFilter employees as promised, but a subcontractor), they laughed at my wife and said they could be done in less than 2 hours! My wife told them that we had already cancelled the job and the order, because of the horrible tone and demeanor of their Service Manager "Dan." They laughed again, and said Dan was just in a bad mood that day.

My wife told them that no company representative has the right to talk to a customer that way! We tried calling several offices of LeafFilter, and talked to a customer service person named Taylor, but she would not give us her name and refused to give us a cancellation number, or confirming email of cancellation. About 5 minutes later we received a call from Penny at LeafFilter, and she asked what our problem was, so we explained it again to her. She offered an additional $700 off the original $7,700 price for what they said was a full day of work for 3 installers, but when the installers arrived, they said it would only take 2 hours!

That would be $3,850 per hour for 2 guys, not 3 like they promised! We refused the discount and demanded a cancellation number, because we know the law allow us to cancel any contract within 3 days, and we cancelled it in 18 hours. Penny promised to immediately send me an email confirming out cancellation, but it is now 10/13/21 at 6:55 AM and we still have received no cancellation confirmation from LeafFilter.

This is a shady and disreputable company. Do not let LeafFilter anywhere near your home!

Preferred solution: Confirmation that we did cancel within 24 hours, and an Apology for their demeanor and attempting to sell us a defective Service promise..
