While I have no issues with the installation or results of the LEAFFILTER SYSTEM, I do take issue with the cost. When the sales person came and measured my home and explained how the system works, he then gave me a quote of $8000., when I told him I had to discuss it with my wife and son, he came down to $5060.

and I foolishly agreed. After the installation I called my insurance agent and asked if the Leaffilter would lower my premium. He asked me how much it cost and I told him, he said for a top of the line gutter guard system with size of my house it should be no more than $2500. I have called Leaffilter numerous times to discuss this and was told someone from the sales office would get back to me.

I am still waiting. They also had a credit card sent to me which I did not ask for.

The Leaf Filter representative stated that the product was guaranteed not to clog. However, my system often overflows due to the system clogging as a result of leaves and debris accumulating on the surface.

When I called the company, I was told that the system requires periodic maintenance, and that they could send someone out for $145. Had I known this initially, I would have selected a different product. The company should not state that the product will not clog, when in fact, it does. This is a bait and switch tactic that is unethical and should be illegal.

I have also submitted this information to the U.S. Department of Commerce as reference.

Hello, All customers have a 3-day right of cancellation and hopefully you took advantage of this and were able to successfully cancel. As long as contracts are cancelled within 3 days, there is no penalty to the customer.

We ran across LeafFilter at the Great Georgia Airshow. We were interested in their product so we gave them our name and number ...

big mistake. They called many many times. Eventually I allowed them to come out and give us a quote for new gutters. Their quote was very high, 3 times the cost of a previous quote we had received from a competitor.

They had me sign the quote and we would talk the next day about possibly moving forward. After talking to my spouse and checking out the reviews online, we decided we should wait because we had several projects going on already. The salesman asked if he could call us back in a month to see where we stood. I just got a call from 770-416-0300 LeafFilter.

The man said he had a contract I signed in front of him and wanted to know when his men could come out and complete the work. I told him we declined the quote the next day and we were going to wait until some of the other projects were done. He told me had a signed contract in front of him and he would take us to court to get the money. I gave him my attorney's phone number.

He told me we could not stand up to them, they were a $44 million dollar a year company. I told him we would never do business with them now.

Poor customer service

It has been a long time since I have seen the tactics these people use to generate sales. The heavy handed sales person was horrible.

I threw him out of my house. He was rude, demeaning, controversial, and downright nasty. Beware of these folks. It seemed as though they were selling siding or vacuum cleaners.

The $10,000 quote took my breath away. What a bunch of huxters....

It has been a long time since I have seen that kind of selling. I was going to call the main office number but decided that it would be fruitless.

I am sure that they operate the same way all over the country. I would be happy to pay someone $100 every 6 months to clean my gutters.

I was not pleased with the installation of their product and cancelled the transaction within 3 business days per their contract and they charged my wells fargo account a week after I cancelled the transaction. Shingles are curled upwards and can see the roof decking at the ends of the roof where the leaf filter is pushing the shingles up.

Customer service is bad and have no local number to contact the company. Beware of this company. They are on Angies list and have contacted Angies list and complained about this company. The Governor's office of Consumer Protection is next step as well as an attorney.

Plan on going by their office Monday and see if they want to settle this matter or if further steps have to be followed. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Worst buying experience of my life!!!!! This is the only online report I've ever written.

These guys are such ripoffs!

The only consolation was Amex helped me win a dispute of $850.00. Rude, arrogant, low EQ, and overall incompetent.

I could not get the sales person to understand that I was not interested in their product. He was rude and pushy and would not leave my home.

If a homeowner asks for the "condensed version" of their sell, that is what they should get. I will tell everyone I know not to sign up for any in-home estimates from these "used car salesmen". I would not trust them any further than I could see them.

They have a spill about how they will come down on a ridiculous price if the homeowner will put a sign in the yard. Then they give you another ridiculous prices.
