I am pleased to inform that not long after my post, I was contacted by LeafFilter regarding my gutter issue, an appointment was set up and the issue was resolved. I am now as of this post I am happy with the resolution.

We moved into a brand-new home on Nov.15, 2019. I contacted LeafFilter to give us an estimate on their system.

The salesperson came to our home, went over all the products, benefits and payment options. We decided to have the system installed and since there was not a huge price difference, opted to have them replace the gutters. Contract was signed and after signing we were given a folder with all the information. System including their gutters from their company was installed on 5-20-20.

Toward the end of August we had a couple of day of unusually heavy rain and noticed the water was spilling over the gutter (area 2 in the attached photo) to the ground. I contacted LeafFilter, and they sent a service tech out on Sept. 1,2020. Service person checked and informed us the part of screening that went over the gutter was not installed correctly, and he replaced the screen and also stated the splash guards were installed backwards and replaced them with new splash guards.

At the time of this visit I pointed out to the tech that (areas 1 and 2 in the photo)had developed blackish places and looked as if the enamel on the gutter had been eaten away. He informed me he could not do anything about that but would pass that along and I could contact customer service as well. I waited, heard nothing from them and re-contacted customer service and another tech was sent out to take pictures and informed me he would pass this along to management. Two weeks went by I heard nothing, so I contacted customer service again.

Tech was sent out 9/17/20,took more pictures, got his ladder out and attempted to clean the black areas which we had already attempted to do. Black areas did not come clean for me and did not come clean for the tech. The tech changed the splash guards around stating they had been put on backwards. He then contacted manager and manager indicated so the warranty did not cover the gutters!!!!!!!

I am trying to figure out how the gutters that were replaced with the gutters from LeafFilters are not a part of their system. Tread carefully before you sign a contract, spend $3000.00 having the gutters replaced on a brand-new house because apparently the warranty only covers the screens?

User's recommendation: I would carefully research all complaints through the BBB.

Preferred solution: Would just like the small discolored area replaced.
