3/4/2015First and for most - if you get these filters pay with a credit card or open their credit card. When you have issues and want them off your house file a complaint with the credit card company and you will be able to get your money back and NOT have to sign their standard nondisclosure agreement.

Essentially leaf filter is a great, highly overpriced device as long as you do not live in an area that has any potential for snow or ice. My experience:Everything seemed fine for the first 2-3 months until the first snow, at which point the leaf filters were completely blocked by the snow and as it melted water ran down the front and back of my gutters then froze.1. Making my gutters completely useless2. Damaging the wooden eves on my home3. Creating an ice flow and hazard in front of every entrance to my homeI contacted leaf filter and received a return phone call from one of their reps who asked me if I needed a lesson in liquids turning solid before I buy things, then told me they would never remove their product. After a few heated emails asking if this is how they normally do business and threatening including their professionalism in an article I was going to post. I was then contacted by one of their managers (Joe R.)After the initial insulting phone experience I refused to speak to anyone from their company over the phone. I chose to only communicate via email so I would have records of all conversations and Joe R called a lot trying not to have anything in writing. Finally Joe R admitted in an email that "ice can form on the system" but at no time during any of our conversations did he offer to remove their ‘system’. Instead I was passed off to their lawyer. What company have you ever heard of that requires a lawyer for a return? A shadey one. Their lawyer, Ryan N, then contacted me with a release that stated I couldn’t contact any agencies like the better business bureau, release them of any responsibility for damage to my home due to the modifications they made to my gutters and could not post any comments, articles etc online or I would be responsible for the entire amount due for the original purchase.The attorney, Ryan N, attempted to intimidate me into a corner in order to get me to sign their nondisclosure agreement but while I kept him talking via email, costing leaf filter money, I contacted the credit card company they opened an account for in my name in order to finance the purchase and filed a complaint asking for a return. After forwarding a summation and photos, a very helpful credit card company took my side and leaf filter had to come take their product off my house, reimburse me what payments I had made and all with out signing their nondisclosure agreement.

Leaf filter tells you they will not mess with your roof will my shingles are lifted up off the roof because it was installed wrong. So they came back out.

I should have checked their work after they came back out because he lied to me about fixing everything. I just had to fix the leaf filter in the backyard. I have also been picking up all the screws in the yard and driveway that they did not clean up. I will make it clear to everyone I know not to do business with this company.

your company does half *** work and should not be in business for as much as you charge. Nothing but Glorified scam artist.

Salesman was very high pressure pushy. I did not like that.

Husband is a diabled veteran, so the price was a lot for us. But we were also concern with him climbing on the roof anymore.

Installers were very unprofressional. Husband heard them talking about rushing the job. They dropped a part that broke our window screen (and left a mark on the window). The company later denied it. The installers did not clean up after themselves. They left screws and stuff all around the house. The salesman said that these are better than other gutter cover systems, because they aren't installed under your shingles. But i have pictures that show them under the shingles. And i found a piece of shingle on the ground that they must have cut off.

When it rains, they water runs over the edge onto the deck, the garden beds (which are now flooded), and everywhere.

We called and they sent a guy out to look at it. He recaulked some downspouts that were leaking. Regarding being under the shingles, he said "it's only an inch or so". YES, But it is under it!!

He also addressed the water flowing over and said that there was debris on top of the system, and we would need to clean it off monthly. WHAT!?! The point of the system was that we didnt need to climb up there 1-2 times a year to clean gutters. Now we have to clean it every month?

We also found that the wire gutter traps were taken out of the down spouts and tossed in the bushes against the house.

We are not happy with a system we dont feel will work right and we spent so much money on it. I emailed 2 different people with pictures and my concern. But no one has replied.

I am in Tulatin Oregon, and I know you are new in the area...but I still expect help with these matters.

I want a system that works.
